This 8.11 MWp ground-mounted installation is one component of Janata Jute Mills’ comprehensive solar and storage ecosystem. Combined with approximately 10 MWp of rooftop solar and 758.4 kWp of floating solar, the site’s total solar PV capacity reaches approximately 18.87 MWp, integrated with an 8.35 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), the first large-capacity BESS deployment in Bangladesh.

The project was delivered through a collaborative approach: Akij Bashir Group led the overall solution, design, and procurement; Cynergy Limited handled on-site installation, civil, and electrical works; and Sungrow carried out BESS commissioning.
